The new five seat C4 Picasso benefits from the same forward thinking that shaped the design of the recently launched Grand C4 Picasso, with outstanding all-round visibility, a light and airy interior, leading cabin and boot space, incorporating a new version of Citroën’s Modubox folding trolley, and the use of high quality materials. The easy-to-use and flexible interior lay-out combines with the uncluttered interior space and the highest levels of comfort to ensure that travelling is a pleasurable experience.
Citroën’s newest model sports a fresh, dynamic look, with a body style that is at once compact, flowing and eye-catching. The assertive-looking front end features a new-style bumper with oversized air intakes covered in black mesh, while the unique wave of the waistline, highlighted in chrome, creates an attractive side profile.
However, it is at the back where the five seat C4 Picasso’s distinctive personality and styling really shines through. The rear pillars are masked by the quarter-lights and, combined with the rest of the huge glazed area, give the impression that the upper half of the vehicle is completely surrounded by glass. The saloon-style rear end features lights with a unique horizontal design.
The interior of Citroën’s newcomer is refreshingly light, with outstanding visibility provided by the huge windscreen, slim pillars and optional panoramic sunroof. Artificial lighting also plays a major role with the availability of various useful features, such as automatic welcome lights under the door mirrors, a portable torch in the boot and reading lights on the back of the front seats, all designed to make journeys easier.
The exterior dimensions (4.47m long, 1.83m wide and 1.66m tall) give the C4 Picasso an extremely spacious interior. This feeling of space is enjoyed by all passengers, with those in the front benefiting from the simple, uncluttered design of the dash, and those in the back from three individual, full-size seats and a flat floor. The innovative seating design, first seen in the Grand C4 Picasso, allows the rear seats to be quickly and easily folded flat into the floor.
When all five seats are in use, the new model leads the class with 500 litres of boot space underneath the luggage cover, extending to a maximum 1,734 litres once the rear seats are folded down. Helping to keep the boot tidy, the five seat C4 Picasso can also be equipped with a new version of Citroën’s renowned Modubox. This innovative, removable trolley makes it easy to divide boot space and to transport objects outside of the vehicle.
The new five seat C4 Picasso provides a relaxing journey for all occupants. Suspension comfort can be further enhanced by the optional pneumatic rear suspension, while laminated acoustic side windows can be specified to make it even quieter inside. An automatic electronic parking brake and Hill Start Assist are fitted as standard and make everyday driving easier.
Thoughtful extras such as individual air flow controls for back seat passengers, an air quality sensor and a scented air freshener can all add to the pleasant onboard atmosphere. A high quality stereo system and folding video screens in the back of the front seats are also available to keep passengers entertained.
Developed on the same platform as the Grand C4 Picasso, which scored five stars in Euro NCAP tests, the new C4 Picasso meets the most stringent criteria for occupant protection, offering the likes of four Isofix seats, audible seatbelt warnings for all seats and seven airbags as standard.
The five seat C4 Picasso is available with a choice of four fuel efficient engines: 127hp 1.8i 16V and 143hp 2.0i 16V petrol units, and 110hp 1.6HDi and 138hp 2.0HDi diesel powerplants, both fitted with Diesel Particulate Filter Systems. Dependent on engine there is a choice of gearboxes: manual, automatic or a 6-speed electronic gearbox system with paddleshift gearchange.

2011 honda accord coupe

Set to go on sale in mid-August, the 2011 Honda Accord Sedan and Coupe receive significant updates including improved fuel economy, enhanced exterior and interior styling and the addition of a new leather-equipped Special Edition (SE) trim level. Available as either a sedan or a coupe in 4-cylinder and V6 variations, the Accord offers a unique balance of style, performance, efficiency and value specific to each individual model.
“For 2011, the Accord evolves again with sharpened styling inside and out, fuel economy gains and a broader application of popular features,” said Erik Berkman, vice president of Corporate Planning and Logistics for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “The Accord is designed to deliver a consistently rewarding ownership experience in the areas that matter most to sedan and coupe drivers.”
Improvements to vehicle aerodynamics, engine friction and transmission gear ratios all contribute to fuel economy improvements. The EPA fuel-economy ratings1 for Accord 4-cylinder sedan models equipped with an automatic transmission improve by 2 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 3 mpg on the highway, for a city/highway rating of 23/34 mpg.
The 2011 Accord Sedan’s exterior expresses a more upscale and powerful presence with a new style for the front grille, front bumper and rear deck lid, along with a new wheel design.
Building on the sedan’s design character, the Accord Coupe’s unique muscular stance is enhanced with a bolder front grille design, new front bumper shape, enhanced brakelight appearance and a new wheel design for V6 models.

Striking a balance between value and luxury, the Accord SE Sedan offers the additional features from the popular Accord LX-P with the added
luxury of leather-trimmed seating, heated seats, driver’s power-lumbar support and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.
New features on certain models include steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters on the Accord EX-L V6 Coupe, a USB Audio Interface on all coupe models and Accord EX and EX-L Sedans, and a rear view camera on sedans equipped with the available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation2 System. Additionally, Accord EX-L V6 models receive a two-position memory system for the driver’s seat. Additional interior updates on all models include new seat fabrics on models with cloth seats, an updated instrument panel design and more-refined accent points throughout the interior.
Interior styling on all models provides attainable luxury with generous standard equipment, world-class ergonomics and intuitive vehicle controls. The front seats are designed to provide generous lateral support and to complement the Accord’s sporty side. The fold-down, rear seatback offers cargo-carrying versatility and also includes a lockable pass-through for long items like snow skis.
New for 2011, the most frequently used climate-control buttons are now positioned on the left side of the control stack, closer to the driver for ease-of-use, and less-frequently used buttons are now positioned on the right side. Vehicle clock adjustment is also made easier by more prominent control lettering.

A 190-horsepower, 2.4-liter, 16-valve DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine is standard in the Accord EX and EX-L Sedans and Accord LX-S, EX and EX-L Coupes. The 2.4-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine in the Accord LX, LX-P and SE Sedans produces 177 horsepower.
The available 3.5-liter, 24-valve SOHC i-VTEC V6 engine produces 271-horsepower and takes advantage of Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology that can deactivate up to half of the cylinders while cruising to improve fuel economy. Preliminary EPA fuel-economy ratings3 for the 2011 Accord V6 Sedan are 19 city/30 highway mpg, an improvement of 1 mpg in highway driving. The performance-oriented Accord EX-L V6 Coupe with the 6-speed manual transmission has a unique 3.5-liter V6 VTEC engine (without VCM) that provides a performance-tuned valvetrain, intake and exhaust system to broaden the torque curve in the low- to mid-rpm range for enthusiast-level performance. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on 4-cylinder models and a 5-speed automatic is available. A 5-speed automatic transmission is standard on V6-powered models. A 6-speed manual transmission is available exclusively on the Accord EX-L V6 Coupe.
For safety, the Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) is an exclusive body design that enhances occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal crashes. The ACE design utilizes a network of connected structural elements to distribute crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle. This enhanced frontal crash energy management helps to reduce the forces transferred to the passenger compartment.
The double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension inspire confident handling performance while also providing a comfortable ride. The 2011 Accord Sedan comes standard with 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, or 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels depending on the model.

A premium 270-watt audio system comes standard on Accord EX Coupe and Accord EX-L Sedan models, and includes a six-disc CD changer and seven speakers including an 8-inch subwoofer. XM Radio is standard equipment on all Accord EX-L models.

Currently more than 95 percent of the Accords sold in the United States are produced4 at Honda of America Manufacturing Inc.’s Marysville Auto Plant in Marysville, Ohio, and at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, LLC, in Lincoln, Alabama. The Marysville plant is the sole global source of the Accord Coupe.

The 2011 Honda Accord remains one of the gold standards in the auto industry, combining flexibility, style, and reliability into one package.  For 2011, there are several new improvements that help the Accord to stay at the head of the pack.

Starting under the hood, the 2011 Accord is available with three engine options, depending on trim.  A 177-horsepower, 2.4-liter four cylinder engine is available on LX and SE sedans.  The engine gets a bump to 190-horsepower on the LX-S coupe and EX trimmed sedans and coupes.  Also available is a 271-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 for added power and a more dynamic driving experience.  Selecting the V6 along with a six-speed automatic transmission features Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management system, which deactivates cylinders in the engine when they are not needed to help save fuel.

The 2011 Accord receives a boost in fuel economy due to improved aerodynamics, reduced engine friction, and a tweak in the transmission gearing ratios, despite power and displacement numbers equaling the engines from 2010.  Fuel economy is now rated at up to 17-23 mpg in the city and 26-34 mpg on the highway.  Competition for the Accord includes the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, and Ford Fusion.

Exterior changes for the 2011 Accord include revised front and rear styling, as well as the improved aerodynamics noted previously.  Available as a coupe or sedan, the Accord has a new bumper and grille design up front, and updated wheel designs.  The sedan comes standard on 16-inch steel wheels, while 17-inch alloys are available.  Those 17-inch alloy wheels are standard fare on the sportier coupe, with new 18-inch alloy wheels as an available option.

Moving inside, the 2011 Accord also features a slightly reworked interior, with good fit and finish and high-quality materials usually reserved for luxury makes.  With seating for five and standard features like air conditioning, cruise control, stereo with auxiliary input jack, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, all Accords come well equipped.  The new SE sedan trim level comes with leather seating, heated front seats, and a leather trimmed steering wheel.  Also new for 2011, all Accords with the optional navigation system now receive a backup camera.

Safety features on the Honda Accord include side-impact and side curtain airbags, an electronic stability system, four wheel disc and antilock brakes, and active front head restraints.

The 2011 Honda Accord is available in a variety of trims and forms to fit whatever automotive needs you have.  Check one out today and see why the Accord’s mix of luxury, fuel economy, and reliability is tough to beat.

Kia Motors Corp. unveiled its new model called the Cadenza in South Korea recently. The Cadenza, which replaces Kia‚ Amanti large sedan that ended production months ago, goes on sale there this year and in North America in 2011. In a release, Kia disclosed that the five-seat Cadenza is shorter than the Amanti but has a longer wheelbase delivering more interior space. The car will be manufactured at Kia's Hwasung assembly plant in South Korea. The Korean edition has been confirmed to have a 3.5-liter V-6 engine. The carmaker has yet to finalize the engine specifications for its North American version. As soon as the inventories run out for the Amanti, the US dealers will not have a large sedan and consumers will have to wait until the Cadenza arrives in 2011. Spokesman Michael Choo said that in the meantime, the mid-sized Optima will be Kia's biggest sedan. The global auto show debut for the Cadenza will take place on Dec. 12 at the Riyadh Motor Show in Saudi Arabia.
Press release: "The all-new Kia Cadenza luxury sporty sedan revealed in Korea today (where it is called the K7), will be a 'big step into the future' for Kia when it goes on worldwide sale next year. New Cadenza will make its overseas world premiere at next month's Riyadh Motor Show in Saudi Arabia on 12 December, followed immediately by an appearance at the Dubai Motor Show on 15 December. The Cadenza name is derived from an Italian musical term used to describe an elaborate, ornamental flourish for a concerto or aria. It perfectly symbolizes the dynamic sedan's striking design philosophy and upscale image. The 4965 mm long Cadenza will take over the role of large luxury sedan for the Kia marque from the 10-year old Opirus ('Amanti' in some markets) and is destined to totally transform Kia's sales performance in the D2 segment.
"With the Cadenza, we have created an all-new, large sedan that will revitalize Kia's fortunes thanks to its exciting appearance, strong performance and luxurious cabin which will guarantee a much broader consumer appeal, attracting thousands of new customers to our brand," commented Mr Hyoung-Keun Lee, President, Kia Motors Corporation. Under the direction of Kia's Chief Design Officer (CDO), Peter Schreyer, the large sedan design team in Korea was determined to transform every aspect of the brand's range-topping model, to deliver sporty and sleek styling, agile and dynamic performance, exceptional comfort and refinement and competitive high-tech features. A 'big step into the future' for Kia's sophisticated design The design team targeted 'stand-out' looks with modernity, while incorporating Kia's evolving design DNA to ensure the new large sedan boasts an appearance that will humble potential rivals. Last April, the team's KND-5 concept car at the Seoul Motor Show revealed just how revolutionary Kia's new large sedan was going to be. "Our new sedan looks masculine and luxurious," comments Peter Schreyer.
"Today, people recognize a Kia at first sight: well balanced proportions, flowing greenhouse and dynamic window graphic plus the big wheels, give this car its confident stance, dignity and elegant personality. The distinctive 'tiger nose' front with its signature grille and headlights are evidence of Kia's new self-confidence. Kia Cadenza is a big step into the future ‚ another quantum leap for Kia," concludes Schreyer. The traditional three-box sedan shape was retained, but was morphed into a more flowing design with an aerodynamic Cd of just 0.29. The innovative treatment of light is a constant design theme. At the front, second-generation LED position lights are used to define the width of the car and the shape of the headlamps. At the rear, the combination lamp clusters also feature LED position lights which, together with the dual mufflers integrated into the bumper, enhance the new Cadenza's sporty appearance. As an option, a full-length three-part glass Panoramic Roof will be available. Contemporary looks, premium quality and a unique ambience Inside, the new Cadenza is every bit as stylish and sophisticated as the exterior promises. The interior is dominated by the treatment of the futuristic 'floating' dashboard that highlights Kia's innovative design approach. A 'welcome' system turns on the exterior puddle and interior lights to 'greet' the car owner, while the interior mood lighting strip, which runs across the two-tier dashboard and all around the door trims, creates a warm ambience within the vehicle. An additional large mood lamp, which runs down the center of the cabin ceiling, is available. Dual-zone climate control air-conditioning is standard, and other high-tech 'comfort & convenience' features include keyless entry and an engine 'start' button, RPAS reversing sensors, a reversing safety camera with interior mirror display screen and a powered extension for the driver's seat cushion.
Although New Cadenza is shorter than the Opirus, the extended wheelbase (up by 45 mm to 2845 mm), additional exterior width and more compact rear suspension, come together to ensure that the interior offers occupants more space than the old model. Less weight, more performance and better fuel-economy for new sedan Kia's new front-wheel drive 'Type-N' platform makes its first appearance in Cadenza and will be utilized in other Kia models in the future. The lighter (and stronger) bodyshell, together with all-new suspension systems, helped Cadenza to achieve a weight loss of up to 130 kg, compared with the previous Opirus ‚ even though the new model has numerous additional features. As part of Kia's drive to increase sales in the large sedan segment, the new Cadenza will be manufactured with a total of three gasoline engines ‚ with different engines being available around the world to best suit local legal requirements. Power outputs will range from 165 ps to 290 ps and all models will feature front-wheel drive and Kia's all-new six-speed automatic transmission. Driving up sales and market share with an all-new product "Despite the current global economic uncertainties, we are confident that the new Kia Cadenza will substantially increase Kia's share of this segment in Korea and around the world," concluded President Lee.
Manufacturing of the new Cadenza sedan will start at Kia's Hwasung facility in this month for the domestic market and in January 2010 for export markets. Export sales in the General Markets* (excluding North America and Europe), will begin during March 2010 and in China in June 2010. Kia Motors Corporation has confirmed that its all-new production model, the Kia Soul, will be marketed globally with a choice of three highly efficient engines (depending on individual markets), when it goes on sale in early 2009.
The most powerful engine will be a 2-litre gasoline unit. A smaller capacity 1.6-litre gasoline engine will be offered in most countries, alongside a 1.6-litre diesel engine featuring a VGT (variable geometry turbocharger).

Both the 1.6-litre, four cylinder, 16-valve DOHC power units are based closely on engines fitted to the hugely successful, European-built, Kia cee’d.

Kia has also confirmed that the new model, which will be available exclusively as a five-door hatchback with front-wheel drive, will have an overall length of 4,105 mm, and a 2,550 mm wheelbase. Height will be 1,610 mm and width 1,785mm – excluding door mirrors.

To be manufactured in Korea from November 2008 for overseas markets, the Kia Soul will defy conventions and appeal especially to the young and the young-at-heart – whatever their age.

Kia Soul is not a replacement for an existing vehicle and is destined to play a unique role within Kia’s global product line-up. Kia Soul will provide a creative platform for buyers to individualise and match their car to their own personality.

The World Premiere of the Kia Soul will be celebrated on 2 October 2008 at the Paris Motor Show. The exciting new Kia model is scheduled to go on sale in Europe during February 2009, with sales in the USA and remaining overseas markets beginning in April 2009.
